Though a partnership with SAGE Scholars, we are pleased to offer our members
BabyMint Tuition RewardsTM. This
first-of-its-kind program allows BabyMint members to receive tuition credits,
redeemable at
over 175 colleges and universities
, in addition to the merchant rebates they earn through our program.
With this unique new program, the shopping rebates you earn are matched by
tuition credits when your child chooses to attend any participating college or
university. There is no cost to participate in this program. It is simply a
special perk for BabyMint members. If your child chooses to attend a school
that is not in the network you can still use your BabyMint merchant rebates,
but you won’t qualify for any Tuition RewardsTM.
How Does Tuition Rewards™ Work?

Here’s how it works: If you spend $100 at a participating merchant and receive a
$7 (7%) rebate into your college savings account you will receive a matching $7
in Tuition RewardsTM, which will reduce your
tuition if your child attends any participating college or university. In total
that’s a $14 dollar contribution towards the spiraling cost of higher
education.
BabyMint members can opt into the Tuition RewardsTM
program by selecting the Tuition RewardsTM option
during the registration process. Existing members can join the program by
selecting the option under “Edit Account Options” and linking their current
BabyMint account to the college savings plan of their choice. Best of all,
participation in the BabyMint college saving program and the new BabyMint
Tuition RewardsTM program are at no cost to
parents and families.
After enrolling through BabyMint, members need to register themselves and their
students at www.sagescholars.com.
Students need to be signed up to use Tuition Rewards prior to each student
completing 10th grade. Students can use Tuition RewardsTM
that are earned by their sponsors up to when a student completes the 11th
grade. When a sponsored student goes to apply to a SAGE member school, his or
her sponsor needs to submit the Tuition RewardsTM
Statement to that school within 30 days of application.
Tuition RewardsTM are actually tuition
reductions - aid not based strictly on financial need. SAGE Scholars has
negotiated with member colleges to automatically present a financial reward to
families who save for college, provided that families submit and the SAGE
member school receives a Tuition Rewards statement within 30 days of a
student’s application to that college. Tuition Rewards represent the minimum
scholarship that students will receive from SAGE Scholar if and when they
attend a SAGE member school.
